Connect Square with QwikMenu Pro, review selected catalog items and configure ordering for the correct location. Learn how menu import, orders and bill payments differ.
QwikMenu Pro includes Square integration for supported menu and ordering workflows. Connecting an account is the beginning of setup: select the correct Square location, review the catalog and configure the services you want guests to use.
Bring selected Square items into your menu
Open Square Connection and complete the connection for your intended environment. From Menu Items, use Sync with Square to open the import workflow. Confirm the Square location and the QwikMenu destination, review the items and then sync and publish. Inspect dish names, prices, photographs and options in the guest menu afterwards.
This is a reviewed import workflow. Do not assume every edit in either system automatically updates the other system in both directions.
Configure Square ordering separately
Open Square ordering to choose the location and configure the available ordering settings. Ensure your team knows how orders arrive and which actions require staff approval. A connected catalog does not by itself mean guest ordering or payments are enabled.
Keep table menu and bill QR codes distinct
Use Ordering & Table QR to organise dining areas and tables. A table menu QR opens the menu with table context. A separate bill QR opens the table bill; collecting payment requires the corresponding Square payment setup. Check Table management to review available table and bill information, and verify payment status before treating a bill as paid.
Before using the integration during service
- Confirm that the connected merchant and Square location belong to the intended restaurant.
- Check your environment and avoid using sandbox settings for real customers.
- Review imported options, prices and availability on a phone.
- Use the provider’s supported testing workflow and verify staff receipt of an order.
- Confirm applicable Square account eligibility and payment-processing fees separately.
Deleting a QwikMenu area does not cancel Square orders or refund payments. Manage those actions in the relevant payment and order workflow.
