Best QR Code Menu Software for Restaurants in 2026

Compare QR menu tools by menu editing, ordering, pricing structure and setup. A practical shortlist to help you choose the right fit for your restaurant.

Choosing the best QR code menu software starts with your service model. A restaurant that changes a few dishes each week needs something different from a venue taking orders at tables or managing a kitchen display. Start with the jobs you need the software to do, then compare the full cost of doing those jobs.

This guide is written by QwikMenu, one of the products discussed. It is a comparison of published capabilities, not an independent award or a claim that we have tested every competing product. Vendor information was checked on 26 October 2026; confirm current prices, limits and regional availability before buying.

First decide: a menu, an ordering tool, or a restaurant operating system?

A QR code is simply a route to a page. A PDF behind a QR may be enough for a menu that rarely changes, but guests may need to zoom and scroll. A structured digital menu can make dishes easier to browse and edit. Ordering software adds a different set of requirements: modifiers, staff acceptance, taxes, payment handling and a clear process when a connection fails.

List three essential capabilities and test them with your real menu. Do not let a long feature list distract from an unreadable menu or a confusing checkout.

QwikMenu: a branded menu with optional Pro workflows

QwikMenu suits restaurants looking for a mobile menu with categories, dish descriptions, photos and availability controls. Basic is the view-only menu plan. Pro adds workflows such as WhatsApp order requests, table QR codes, shared table carts and Square integration. Start with the current Basic and Pro comparison; the prices and features shown there are the source of truth.

Setup starts with your restaurant details and categories. You can enter dishes manually or, with the appropriate Pro setup, review selected Square items before importing them. WhatsApp requests need staff confirmation; they do not collect a payment. Square ordering and bill payment require their own connection and configuration. Current self-service plans are for one branch per account. If you need multiple stalls, confirm the arrangement with support first.

MENU TIGER: compare the wider operations bundle

MENU TIGER’s published pricing page lists QR ordering, online ordering, a built-in POS, kitchen display options and table management. At the time of review, its page displayed a free tier with 75 orders per month and paid tiers starting at US$17 per month with 500 orders per month. Higher tiers increase order and store limits and add operational features.

This makes it worth evaluating if your shortlist includes a broader restaurant system. Check which POS connections and add-ons you actually need, how the displayed billing period works, and the payment-processing charges that may apply separately. Source: MENU TIGER pricing and plan limits.

Menutech: compare menu production and recurring updates

Menutech organises its plans around menu creation volumes, templates and related menu-management capabilities. Its published plans range from occasional menu creation to daily menus and enterprise arrangements. The pricing page includes digital menu sharing and a trial; the applicable price depends on currency, billing period and plan.

Consider it when preparing and maintaining menus is the central job, then verify the exact guest-ordering or integration workflow you require. Ask how menu counts are measured and what happens when your team exceeds the plan allowance. Source: Menutech plans and pricing.

A fair way to compare the monthly cost

Record the subscription, setup or migration work, extra users or locations, ordering limits, required add-ons and any separate payment-provider fees. For annual billing, compare both the total annual commitment and the displayed monthly equivalent. A free plan with an order limit and a paid view-only plan solve different problems; compare them against your requirements rather than their headline prices alone.

Run a short trial before committing

Add ten representative dishes, including one with options and one unavailable item. Scan a printed QR on two phones. Change a price and check the guest view. If ordering is required, use the provider’s supported test workflow and inspect how staff receive the order. Confirm the final bill and payment status instead of treating an order notification as proof of payment.

You can try QwikMenu’s sample menu, follow our QR-menu setup tutorial, or create a trial account. Choose the product whose everyday workflow fits your restaurant, even if that product is not the one with the most features.
